Red Bull energy drink is the main sponsor and San Miguel Beer is co-sponsor of the competition. The League will feature 9 teams all over Nepal. Three Star Club, Manang Marshyangdi and Police Clubsare among the best teams in his league.
The League was heavily affected by the April 2015 Nepal earthquake, with play being suspended from late April and due to resume in September. The national stadium is also under construction so the league will held in different stadium of Kathmandu Nepal.
